On Alderman Solis's Retirement
On Saturday November 24th 2018 the alderman of the 25th ward of the City of Chicago, Danny Solis, announced that he would not be seeking reelection. While I have been critical of many of the alderman’s decisions, I must commend him on the manner in which he is retiring. The practice of appointing an alderman before the voters go to the polls is distasteful and I’m glad to see that he is not following suit.
The voters of the 25th ward will have a choice in 2019. Should they want a qualified, hardworking, and dedicated alderman, I will be there. Should they want an alderman that understands the past, present, and future of the ward and city, I will be there.
Happy Holidays
